Welcome to Godwins Archery! I am Alton Godwin, owner of Godwins Archery. I have been an avid hunter all my life, with a deep passion for hunting the great outdoors. I am committed to bringing you the highest quality shopping experience for your archery and hunting needs. I have more than a decade of servicing a variety of bows. This includes compound, traditional and crossbows. My staff and I will continue to promote the sport of Archery by having the highest level of integrity, technical expertise, and educating people on products and information needed to help them with their hunting experience.
Godwins Archery offers a 30 yard indoor range, knowledgable & friendly staff, a large variety of the lastest and greatest products made by Ben Pearson, Bowtech, Black Eagle, Carbon Express, Easton, Elite, FieldLogic, Hoyt, Mathews, Morrell, PSE and Tropy Ridge just to name a few. Recreational archery is rapidly growing in popularity, and our store offers a huge inventory of archery supplies, accessories, all the gear you need to hit your target in this exciting sport.
I am a family man with a supportive wife, Lou Ann and two boys named Chase and Hunter. I am a lifetime resident of Hoke County and a graduate of Hoke County High School. Growing up in the county, I am familiar with the hunting regulations and geography of the area.
I am the founder of Quewhiffle Creek Bowhunters, an ASA certified 3D Archery club. We sponsor at least 8 shoots a year running from January to August. Our goal is promote the sport of archery and the thrill of bowhunting in Hoke County, North Carolina. The events not only provide competition, practice and family entertainment, but also an opportunity for local archers to get together, meet new people and share their archery and hunting experience.
In association with the NASP (National Archery in Schools Program) I have helped start an after school program for archery in the Middle and High Schools of Hoke County. I believe it is important to expose our youth to the sport of archery. As the instructor of INTRODUCTION TO ARCHERY, I teach safety, shooting form, techniques, the history of archery and shooting execution. I look forward to these students becoming sucessful hunters in the future.
